  Have often lunched at the Wishing Well in Upwey and always been delighted with my meal. However, today was dreadfully disappointed. I chose the brie, cranberry and red onion tart with a salad garnish. The salad garnish consisted tired greenery, one quarter of a tomato, one very small slice of cucumber. This was on the 'specials board' for lunch - more like a snack. Also had to wait over half an hour for it to arrive and the waitress who apologised for the wait saying "everything is cooked to order". How does one cook a salad garnish? A slice of tart? Will not be returning for a very long time. Also vastly over-priced with what I had.

  Extremely pleasant tea rooms . In beautiful surrounds. Water gardens. And good location for walks in the surrounding countryside

  Charming well and water garden. The well us "dressed" in early May. Nice cafe too.
